MISSION IMPOSSIBLE? - GEORGE MILLER AND TEAM SAY – “IT SHALL BE DONE”

This could be one of George’s last big initiatives!

What is Project 40?

It is a vision to bring transformation to 40 towns and cities in England, that have alcohol and anti-social behaviour problems, highlighted by government sources as areas of real concern.

How did the vision come about?

These 40 towns and cities were featured on “News at Ten” in 2007. George, having seen the feature was very moved by it all. God would not allow George to forget it. Months later George heard God say – “So what are you going to do about it?” George replied “Lord I am too old, too near retirement!” But God replied “Read Joshua 14.”… This is the story of Caleb at 85 years old. He was as strong as he was at 40. He took on Israel’s biggest challenge, the mountain of giants – and won. Four times God confirmed to George in 3 weeks that this was God’s mission for him. The last confirmation came as George was on a mission in Trinidad. A pastor who knew nothing of George’s vision just came to him and said “The spirit of Caleb is on you – go take your mountain!” George knows this is a challenge from God

He needs your help!

Strategy for taking the town or city:

  1. United prayer initiatives for all areas: - “Pray without ceasing”
    • All types of prayer (Eph 6 v 18)
    • 24/7 – around the clock
    • Personal prayer
    • Triplets
    • Prayer centres open 7 days a week
    • Lunch hour prayer times
    • Prayer walks & prayer drives
    • All –night meetings once a month etc
    • Children’s prayer conferences
  2. Evangelism
    • Initiatives to draw children using children’s evangelists
    • Specific missions for children leading towards salvation
    • Schools
    • Youth – all types of outreaches/ youth evangelists – 29th Chapter etc
    • High schools, colleges, universities
    • Door to door teams/prayer requests etc
    • Street evangelists/open airs etc
    • Reach out to men
    • Reach out to women
    • Pub evangelism teams/ DVDs like “Indescribable”
    • Mission meetings like coffee mornings and evenings
    • Signs and wonders evangelism, healing the sick (can use Mark Marx “Healing on the Streets” team)
  3. Believe for revival to break out!
  4. All the above ministries will be on going
  5. Strategy 2
    • Make a DVD of vision – what you need local Christians to do/ detail to be developed
    • Evangelist heading up each town and city
    • Prayer co-ordinator for each town
    • Youth co-ordinator for each town
    • Children’s evangelist for each town
    • Gospel tract/DVD distribution
    • Training sessions – equipping the saints in each town (Tony on lifestyle evangelism)
    • Use Christmas and Easter as mega witness times – get “The Passion” in cinemas and use DVDs etc
    • Large city wide missions as a climax to all other evangelistic programmes
    • Massive follow up programmes
    • Followed by a project encouraging new believers to evangelise. “Each one to reach one”
